Therapy Dogs Wanted!

United Way seeks volunteers for Beesley’s Paw Prints program

United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee is expanding the Beesley’s Paw Prints program and seeking new volunteers to visit United Way Partner Agencies, schools and residents of independent and assisted living communities. Beesley’s Paw Prints is a United Way collaborative with Children’s Advocacy Center, Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) and other United Way Partner Agencies. Family-Initiative, a United Way Partner Agency, joined the program for their Autism Spectrum Social Skills Playgroup. Cliff and Roxanne Smith bring their two registered therapy dogs to the playgroup on Saturdays. The Senior to Senior Foster program at Gulf Coast Humane Society is another program of Beesley’s Paw Prints. Volunteers are needed to take senior pets from GCHS to local retirement or assisted living communities so the residents can enjoy the company of the animal. To volunteer for a Beesley’s Paw Prints program, email Louise@UnitedWayLee.org or call (239) 433-7204.      [button link=”https://fs22.formsite.com/nancyc/v4vl7gk6oe/index.html” type=”big” newwindow=”yes”] Register Here[/button]
