ARPA Workshop

Synopsis/Summary of ARPA Training April 14th 9:00am to 11:00am

Summary of Workshop

The purpose of the workshop is to provide an overview of the ARPA language and intent (derived from the Final Ruling and Compliance and Reporting Guidance documents); educate on the enumerated eligible activities within the allowable Expenditure Categories (EC1 and EC2); briefly review of a logic model and its use as a rationale or justification for your project; effect and response of the pandemic and how this relates to your project;  and lastly, discussion related to the application process and deadlines.

For those organizations that have previously met with United Way to receive technical assistance, much of what will be covered was addressed in these meetings but this workshop may provide information that was previously not disseminated.

By the end of the workshop, the participants should have the following:

  1. Understanding of the intent of ARPA
  2. Overview and basic understanding of a Logic Model and how this relates to ARPA (effect, response and impact or change)
  3. Review of eligible categories/activities (Public Health and Negative Economic Impact-Other)
  4. Introduction to the Application Process (RFP)

*Attached, revised PowerPoint-ARPA Presentation. If you received the prior version, please retain it for supplemental information as it provides more specifics and details related to enumerated eligibility.

Note: A list of questions and responses received and addressed to date will be provided as an additional attachment to reference before and after the workshop. This document may answer many of your questions in advance or following the meeting.  Questions from the agencies regarding this NOFA must be submitted in writing to Fred Richards at ARPA@unitedwaylee.org and be received no later than Friday, April 1, 2022. United Way will compile all questions and answers, and make them available no later than 5:00 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2022

Date: Thursday, April 14th

Time: 9am to 11am

To register: Simply respond to the zoom link by either accepting or rejecting the meeting.

Voluntary Training: Since there is technical assistance provided, at the request of interested applicants during and throughout the application process, this training will be voluntary but highly encouraged if you have not been involved in any prior meetings or discussion related to this ARPA funding.
