United Way, in partnership with Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s Youth Activity League, and The School District of Lee County, has launched a new rewards program for elementary students. The program, which is currently being piloted at G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School, promotes good character development while also fostering relationships between students and their Sheriff Resource Officer (SRO).
Students receive “SRO Reward Bucks” for modeling outstanding behavior. Students can then use the “SRO Reward Bucks” to obtain items like lip gloss, toys, lunch boxes, and clothing items.
If you are interested in learning more about the program or donating age-appropriate items call Craig at (239)433-7556 or email Craig@UnitedWayLee.org.
